Joseph taught classes on Etching and Engraving in the Extramural Studies Department of Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1982 to 1987, and served as  a part-time lecturer on Etching and Engraving  in the Fine Arts Department of University of Hong Kong from 1984 to 1989.  

After residing in Richmond B. C. he started to teach the art of painting with oils, acrylics and mixed media in the Continuing Studies Department of Kwantleen University College, Richmond B. C. from 1990 to 2004, and then in the Phoenix Art Workshop, Steveston B. C. from 2004 till the present.

With more than forty years of working experience as a commercial artist, Joseph has accumulated sufficient varieties of  techniques to share with his students. He teaches each of his students individually to each one's art working altitude. Many of his students have developed themselves into professional art workers.
